Not only does Dan have a reputation as a first class hunting guide, but he also has a reputation for raising some of the best boar hunting dogs in Texas. Dan has carefully bred top chase and catch dogs for many years. His line of dogs have consistently yielded superior hunting dogs. Dan's dogs are highly sought after in the tri-state area. All of Dan's dogs are the nicest friendly dogs you will ever meet; until it's hunting time, then they are all business and will hunt till they drop.

Dan's chase dogs are a select mixture of Black Mouth Cur and Hound. Mostly Black Mouth Cur with a quarter to three eighths hound. Hound traits give them a better nose. The hound lineage is either Plott or Triq.

Being mostly Black Mouth Cur, they tend towards a yellow dog with a black mouth. But if you look closely, you can see a little hound in them.

Dan's catch dogs are normally a 50/50 mix of Dogo and American Pit. Some are 100% Pit including Boogie; a hard hitting dog that have caught hundreds of boars over 9 years.

To protect his investment, Dan ensures that every dog gets regular health screening, preventive de-worming, skin care, annual canine shots and the best food money can buy.

Terms and Conditions:

A FINISHED DOG will find, bay and stay with a hog. Some will bay, some will try a hog on. If it's a small hog they will catch. If it's a hog that's fighting, they will bay. They will be trash broke.

A WELL STARTED DOG is a dog that has been in 10-20 hunts. If you buy a dog after you hunted with the dog, there will not be a 45 day trial. Some will hunt with the older dogs. Some will cover a bark. Some might have found their own hogs. They still need to be trained. A well started dog is sold without a trial or guarantee.

All FINISHED and WELL STARTED dogs will be sold in the woods. I’ll take you hunting one or two nights so you can look at the dog(s). If the dog or dogs suits your needs and you buy it, it’s your dog. If you turn down the showing of the dog or dogs, and still buy the dog or dogs, it’s your dog or dogs. Unless it’s in writing, there is no trial on any dog I sell. If the dog doesn’t work, then there’s no extra charges. If the dog does what I say it should do, and you don’t buy it, then I’ll charge you for the hunt.

A STARTED DOG are dogs that have been on 3-5 hunts. These dogs are green. They still need a lot of work. They are sold without a trial or guarantee.

All trial hunts will be conducted around my commercial hunts. All dogs sold will have a current rabies certificate. If the dog or dogs are brought back, the health certificate must be returned with the dog.

From 100- 200 miles from my house $300.00.

From 200-300 miles from my house $400.00.

From 300-400 miles from my house $500.00.

From 400-500 miles from my house $600.00.

All shipping must paid by the buyer. All plans for a dog to be shipped must be made by the buyer.

Shipping to the state of Hawaii is NOT feasible.

Please be aware that the buyer will need to make all flight arrangements and pay for all cost of flight and shipping kennels.

Special Note on all hog dog prices stated above are cash price only, a 2% Transaction fee will be applied on all credit card charges.

We will not be responsible if anything happens to the dog during shipment.

Delivery of a dog to the airport in San Antonio Texas is available at $250.00.

A recent heart worn test will be required with any dogs that are returned.

I purchased 2 strike dogs from Dan early 2022. The male was a BMC/pit. The female was BMC/Red Bone. They were from west Texas and they came to me in Alabama. I hunted them mostly at night to acclimate them to the humidity here.

After a couple months I moved to morning hunts. I am throughly pleased with them. I decided to breed them and now I have 2 females I'm selling from the litter. The mom is a great hunter and stays with a bay until you get to her. She usually stays 10 to 15ft away from a hog. The dad will put a stop on an average hog. Smaller pigs he will handle alone and go about his business with her on a relay if it's one within a few hundred yards. They will cast out 2 to 300 yards and circle. Road hunting is also easy with them. Theses pups have great hunting in their blood and will make great dogs.
